STAND UP. SPEAK OUT.
Advocacy Starts with You
Your voice matters. By sharing your experience or supporting mental health education, you’re helping to end the stigma and create a more compassionate Blair County.
When You Speak, Someone Finds Hope
Every time you share your story, show up for someone else, or help a young person understand they’re not alone in what they’re feeling, you light the way forward.
Volunteering with NAMI gives you the chance to turn your experiences—your pain, your healing, your resilience—into purpose. Together, we’re creating a community where mental health is talked about, not whispered, and where recovery is always possible.
In Our Own Voice
In Our Own Voice (IOOV) is a powerful presentation led by individuals living in recovery from mental illness. Through honest, hopeful storytelling, presenters break down stigma, offer education, and inspire audiences with their lived experience.
Want to become a presenter or bring IOOV to your organization or group? We’ll guide you through every step.
Ending the Silence
Ending the Silence is a free, school-based presentation designed for middle and high school students. Led by trained young adults and family members with lived experience, this program opens the door for important conversations around mental health, warning signs, and how to get help.
Whether you’re an educator or someone passionate about youth mental health, you can get involved.
