NAMI Basics
About the Course: NAMI Basics is a FREE, six-session education program for parents, caregivers, and other family members of youth (age 22 or younger) experiencing mental health symptoms. Taught by trained facilitators who have firsthand experience, this course provides essential information and a supportive community, whether you attend in person or online.
What You’ll Learn:
How to identify and respond to mental health symptoms in youth.
Evidence-based treatment options.
How the brain is affected.
Navigating mental health services, schools, and juvenile justice systems.
Building communication and problem-solving skills.
Self-care strategies for caregivers.
How to find hope and connection through shared experiences.
Each session builds on the last, offering tools, understanding, and encouragement in a confidential, judgment-free space.
All course materials will be provided to participants at NO charge. We look forward to walking your recovery journey with you!

Peer-to-Peer
NAMI Peer-to-Peer is a FREE, eight-session educational program for adults with mental health conditions who are looking to better understand themselves and their recovery.
This course will be provided as a hybrid course (in-person and online through Google Meet).
You will learn:
How to set a vision and goals for the future
Great resources for information on mental health and recovery
Respect, understanding, encouragement, and hope for those with mental health challenges.
How to build strength and resilience.
Relaxation and stress reduction tools

Family-to-Family
NAMI Family-To-Family is a FREE gathering where family members of individuals with a mental illness (whether diagnosed or showing signs of) come together to support one another and learn about mental health.
This 8-week course provides a safe space to share experiences, gain knowledge, and find comfort in the company of others who understand. This will be a virtual course.

In Our Own Voice
NAMI Blair County PA presents In Our Own Voice! Hear real testimonies of resilience from people in mental health recovery! This presentation is appropriate for middle school ages and older and allows audience members to engage with the speakers and ask questions about their stories!
We believe that by having open conversations about mental health, we can help to end stigma and create hope for recovery in our communities.

Virtual NAMI Connection Peer Support Group
Meets the 3rd Monday of Every Month
6:00-7:15 PM (ET)
This free, peer-led group is open to any adult living with a mental health condition. It’s a safe space to share, listen, and grow alongside others who get it. You’ll gain strength, insight, and hope with every session.
