About the Conference
The 2026 From Stigma to Strength: Elevating Voices & Participation Conference brings together mental health professionals, advocates, educators, families, and community members for a powerful day of learning and inspiration.
Hosted by NAMI Blair County PA, this annual event focuses on reducing stigma, increasing participation, and elevating lived experiences in mental health conversations across our region.
Whether you are a provider, family member, educator, student, or someone with lived experience, this conference is designed for YOU.
Join NAMI Blair County PA, for the Stigma to Strength Conference on April 30, 2026, at the Blair County Convention Center (1 Convention Center Dr., Altoona, PA 16602). The day will feature powerful keynote and breakout presentations focused on transforming stigma into strength, suicide prevention, recovery-oriented care, and empowerment. Attendees will hear from nationally recognized speakers, participate in a wellness vendor fair, celebrate NAMI recognition awards, and leave with practical tools, renewed hope, and a stronger sense of community.
Opening Speaker: National mental health speaker and author Mike Veney.
Keynote Speaker: Patty Hasson LISW-S, LICDC Community Medical Liaison Representing Johnson and Johnson Neuroscience
Midday Speaker: A Representative from The Jason Foundation, Brandi Lucas

The Vendor & Resource Fair runs from 8:30 AM – 9:45 AM and provides direct access to attendees, including:
