Mental illness affects everyone.
Nearly 60 million Americans experience a mental health condition every year. Regardless of race, age, religion or economic status, mental illness impacts the lives of at least one in four adults and one in 10 children across the United States.
People living with mental illness need help and hope: they need a community that supports them, their families and their recovery.
At NAMI Blair County PA offer many opportunities for education and support for individuals living with mental illness and their loved ones. We work to increase awareness and reduce stigma surrounding mental illness.
We offer a wide variety of programs (see the Education and Support Programs tab for details) as well as an onsite lending library. This free library offers books and educational viewing material regarding mental health and recovery.
You can be enrolled as a member for as low as $5 per year (for lower income). Membership benefits include on line services, subscription to the Advocate magazine, and more! All programs are offered to individuals and families regardless of membership status.
